Conversations from last night

"Sometimes I get nostalgic for conversations I had yesterday."

This is so college and blogger of me to post, but I can't resist talking about a hilarious conversation I had with one Mr. Kyle Baker last night on the subject of youth pastors. 

At first we were commenting on Nate's new loss of his gotee.  I made the remark of how un-youth pastory he is now.  

No gotee=No relevancy with teenagers.  Obviously.  

We talked about the soul-patch for worship leaders, and the bleached blonde soul-patch for the extra radical worship leaders.  

Spiked hair, gelled hair.  That must be a requirement.  Cargo shorts.  Zip-off cargo shorts.

I can't do it justice without doing the youth pastor voice, but when they talk about sex, this is what usually happens:

"Alright, guys, tonight we're gonna talk about sex.  OKOKOKOK, LAUGH IT OUT, I KNOW YOU'RE LAUGHING!! HAHA!!"

And this is before anyone has laughed.  

"Now, has anyone here seen the movie Braveheart/The Matrix?  NOW I'M NOT RECOMMENDING IT, IT'S RATED R AND STUFF GUYS!!"

"I know what you guys are thinking, there's sex in the Bible?!  Yeah, man, there's sex in the Bible, man.  SEXSEXSEX SEX IN THE BIBLE WHOA DUDE."

And I'm only slightly exaggerating.
