GET A JOBBB

This is me looking at life after college. Creeping slowly into the unknown. You can see fear, I think, in my expression.

Gah, jobs, right?

Faith pours from your walls, drowning your calls

Gah, marriage, right?

I'm incredibly happy that from now on whenever I hear the opening notes and lyrics to that song, when the cello and brass come in, and then the guitars, I'll always think of Nathan and Bridget. It worked perfectly as the processional and fit both of them so well.

I actually might've had a little lump in my throat, too. Might've. Maybe.

I need to excercise. The past week was nothing but parties. Christmas parties, graduation parties, marriage, etc.. I've been running on little more than coffee, alcohol, and tasty treats for about nine days now. I thought that's the way college is meant to be, not the week after college.

And now Jake is planning his wedding. Soon it'll be another. I'll tell you this, though, all of you who read this blog, all three of you-four years of college with no C's is nothing compared to being asked to stand next to a friend on the day he commits to love and cherish a woman for the rest of his life.

The beauty and mystery of marriage is palpable- you can feel it standing up there. But it's still a mystery, and therefore hard for me to comprehend. Perhaps because I've been comfortable being single for so long. But whatever, we'll see how long that lasts when the next one(Jake) gets hitched next summer.

today

Spent some time in K-Mart today for the first time in probably several years. I don't remember. We were shooting some sweet pix for the Cubs. First photoshoot with the new star drummer. Pics will be post shortly.

So I turn in my last assignment in college ever on Tuesday. Weird. And one of my best friends gets married next Sunday.

And Sigur Ros has a new album AND documentary. Neither of which I've been able to experience due to this one last assignment taking up all my time. So here's a live performance of one my favorite songs by them.

Regina

I love her.

And I love her cover of this song, too.
